Point 1:
Let's put things into perspective.
Can anyone quantify exactly how much (K millions) the Porgera Mine pays to the Enga Provincial Government? What percentage of that is for the landowners? From record, how much has the MRDC (state's equity manager) paid to Enga Provincial Government over the last ten years?
The answers to these questions will form the basis on which arguments/debates or conclusions can be deduced.
At the moment it is not feasible to draw any firm conclusions. Just mentioning Millions is not enough. How much in terms of millions does matter here.

Point 2.
The subsidized education policy enables many Engan children’s to be taught how to fish. Where they fish after their studies should not matter. The Green house is not the only fishing ground. The ocean is much deeper out there.

Point 3:
Human beings are tied down by "talk" and "advice".
Only pigs are tied down by ropes. There's a certain extend to which a government can exercise its authority by providing the necessary means for a peaceful co-existence.
The people MUST USE THEIR COCONUTS. They know tribal fights is bad. The government cannot spoon-fed and treat grown up pigs. It comes down to basic personal responsibility.

Point 4:
The Provincial Government did and does its part on:

1. Reopening of the Wapenamanda Airstrip, which was shut down many years ago.

2. The setting up of the Wapenamanda Coffee factory for coffee growers.

3. The Wabag National Court Office and facilities

4. The Green House - only 2nd when compared with the National Parliament.

5. Support for rugby league and Soccer Academy.

6. New Digital Telephone Exchange in Wabag

7.The Pyrethrum Project

8. Support to Police Force in the Province.

9. The support and establishment of the CIS at Mukurumanda

10. The recent Enga Cultural Centre planned - K800,000.00 co funding assistance for work done by the University of Utah Doctor.

11. Funding of Wabag Health Centre, which enable it to be recognised at a Provincial Hospital by the National Government (Dept of Health).

12. Enga University Centre - For adults and others that want to get a second chance in education.

13. The new BSP Complex in Wabag - to be leased to BSP Bank.

14. ................................. you add them

One can see that the millions of kina has not be dumped into single oft -criticized "education subsidy basket"

Guys, let's be objective, relative in our assessment with peer governments and show respect where it's due.

Compare these with Southern Highlands, New Ireland Province, Western Province. You'll be sorry to realise what you said was too harsh.
His personal life is his own business. It's cheap to bank on that.

Peter Ipatas concluded the campaigns tactically and well with a replay of this program on EMTV with additional inputs from his many campaign tours. That was a brilliant strategy.

This guy is couple of notches ahead of everyone else

Observer,

Stuuupid!! Don't base your election prediction based on a lousy TV program with a few editions here and there. Regardless of the aired program, over 70% of Engans are without TV sets back home and it wouldn't have much of an effect in light of the observed minimal changes Ipatas has done on the ground. What has he done in terms of social development, and employment from agriculture entreprenuership.

Paul P. Torato rrrrises,, can ya feeell it???!!!

PS: By my count, Ipatas falls to 3rd or 4th place..
