Folks,

Can you believe it! Most of the positions in the Enga Administration is filled with grade 10 leavers and half-baked university graduates.

This people go to work 8 to 4 everyday on the pretext of going to work but in reality they do not know what they are supposed to do. They just don't understand the type of work they have to perform on the position.

No wonder the services are struggling to filter down to the masses. There needs be a big overhaul in the system so that only the experienced and qualified are given the posts.

The ones who are there now must be removed because they came through nepotism and political connections. This very bad for the province.

Enga 4 and concerned Engans,

This is very real at the IPATAS CENTRE. Vote in someone who will clean this mass as services that we cry for the people of Enga is channeled through this! Since all these Tom, Dick and Harry occupying our famous IPATAS CENTRE are cohorts of godfather Ipatas, Ipatas is on show here. It includes the Provincial Treasurer and the Administrator.

Guys, I promise to you all that this will be cleaned if Paul P Torato gets in. He (Paul) is deemed as a recyled leader however he will now listen to the people especially those who genuinely have a heart for Enga to work closely with him. So guys, let's back Paul this GE and see how it goes.

Cheers,
LMT

I have heard that the Administrator of Enga is Dr. Samson Amean. The education advisor is a long time headmaster of a number of high schools and secondary schools in the province.

Can someone write down the important functions and departments in the Enga Provincial administration and list who is in charge of each?

This will help us debate and assess issues prudently.

The blanket assertion that Enga Provincial Administration is being filled with non-qualified people is not substantiated with facts.

I remember when the old wooden provincial building was burned down. It was warm and cosy and we had many laughs and some of us cried. Maybe some of us had something inside the building? But my point is that before The Thief took office here in Wabag we had a public service that worked. Everyone wanted to work for Enga. Since The Thief became guvnor all is fucked.

Well, for starters the Provincial Planner position is occupied by someone who does not have a University degree in an area that is suitable for Planning. Infact the person who is on the post now is a failure (half-baked graduate) at UPNG. The good Doctor (Amean) is another example of an appointment that is ridiculous. A medical Doctor does not have the necessary qualification to be appointed as the administrator. That does not mean he should not be appointed into other public offices. He could be useful to the Administration in a senior Health position in the province. There are other cases in the province which I believe others may point out later on.

The so called 'Political Banner' by the Ipatas Government/administration stands "Free Education for Development of the Engan Human Resources".

Now, since the inception of Free Education some thirteen years ago for Engan students (Human Resource), isn't it so conventional to ask;

1. Has any Engan Professional who has benefited directly from this free subsidy policy actually been awarded a position (even as Graduates) to work in that famous Ipatas Centre?

2. Is there a plan/schedule by the so-called Provincial Educational Advisors to Mr. Ipatas to one day make use of Engan professionals (graduated & working) back in Motherland?

3. Does the Ipatas Centre have a Data Base that has a record of successful careerists who are currently working else where in the country?

We cannot point fingers at people working at the Ipatas Centre as a bunch of retarded old timers, failures or non-degree holders 'but' call for a more logical review by the Ipatas Government (since Mr. Ipatas chooses people to work in the Provincial Government House) on who is qualified in seating in certain chairs in that Provincial Government building.

Enforced by the luring spirits of politics, naturally a politician like Mr. Ipatas will instinctively appoint individuals to suite and empower his political reign 'BUT' what a shame to 'US', the current working Engan Human Resource who are not in our home province to return something back to motherland. Personally, I benefited directly from the Free Education Subsidy. At that time, we were on the receiving side of things. Currently, I feel that I (we) can return something in appreciation back, ‘NOT’ to Peter Ipatas but once again to motherland, Enga. By return something, I mean contributing ideas and working towards a ‘Developed Enga’, this is the whole idea behind Free Education, isn’t it?

Enga hosts one of the largest Mining Projects in the world, the Porgera Gold Mine. The mine sees both national and expatriates working with the various departments and sections locking hands solely for gold production to continue day and night. Being an Engan and having a gut feeling that Engan Professionals were not being recruited for jobs with PJV, I wrote to the Governor Mr. Ipatas (Ipatas read the letter which he obviously ignored) to seriously bring the matter in front of his huge political microscope and formulate a strategy to converse with PJV that when Engans graduate in existing professions within the mine, these graduates (Engans) by default commence work at PJV. This understanding is then amalgamated into the company policies and it coexists with the rest. Currently, only a handful of Engans (professionals) work and the rest (including me), we work in foreign parts of the country only to be told, “Your Governor is an Action Governor who pays for your school fees.”.

That’s right, he is an action Governor, he said he’d pay for our school fees and he did. On the contrary, does he have any plans to bring back the Engan Human Resources working elsewhere in which Enga has invested so much to work in Motherland starting from the provincial parliament (Ipatas Centre) and Porgera etc….

Patriotic Engan Professional, in another mans land.

Den’Den.
