If the results are the same i personally would opt for the less invasive option. I did know someone who had the by-pass done...she was very very obese and I haven't talked to her in like 8 years to know if she conitinued to be happy after the initial success and weightloss. She reached a point where the weightloss stopped. She was happier than being almost 400 lbs, for sure, but as far as I know, she only got to around 180 (she was 5'7") and it stopped. Whether she gained it back eventually I don't know. The stomach will eventually stretch again.

I think you should do whatever you feel is right for you. I have pondered if I will ever feel that liposuction or something will be the right thing for me to do on my belly since it seems to stubbornly keep hanging on to poofiness. But I am still going to keep with the diet and excercise and see where it takes me. I watch the show extremem makeover from time to time and saw an oprah show that went behind the scenes, I guess the surgery scares the crap out of me and keeps me going with what I can do on my own. But I do know how awful it feels to feel trapped and helpless to make changes that you want to make. Some people go the surgical route and it is right for them and they are glad they did it. Just get a few doc. opinions and do your own research.

We are hear routing for you no matter what you decide. We want the best for you...always!

Love,
Dreemy
