When I look for low-carb stuff...I am usually looking for something that is made with Splenda therefore not having the refined sugar carbs. I dont want *sugah* (hee hee I said sugah) carbs! And then those tortillas I get...they are considered low-carb....3 g per tortilla (but they have like 8 grams of fiber in them YAY)and are 50 calories a piece. I have not found any other tortilla with that low of calories. It seems that the lower carb stuff tends to have less calories. Maybe , maybe not.
The main reason why I watch my carbs is because of my PCOS. My body does NOT process carbs the correct way. I have gathered from the research I have done, that if I cut my carbs....I am going to lose weight. And seeing as how I have tried dieting like a fiend in the past with no real success, and have been able to actually lose weight this time with the help of you, watching my calories and carbs... I am beginnign to think something is working...LOL
Because of my PCOS , I am afraid of carbs...no doubt...I admitt it. I was told by a doctor that I used to *carb out* (binge on carbs) because my body felt like it wasnt getting *any* because of the way it processes it.
I an going to try and force myself to incorporate things like the brown rice and a whole wheat bread sometimes that has more carbs than the tortillas.
Another thing is this...and I am curious to know your take on it. Last night I had a quarter cup of brown rice with steamed veggies. I thought I was going to pop after. Felt like I had the OEB's....but I had not overeaten. When I eat carbs...even though they are the better ones... I feel really yucky after.

ANother thing....for breakfast....what do you think about me making a *shake* with a very ripe banan that has been frozen then put in the blender witha cup of vanilla silk soy? Is that enough for breakfast? When I drink one of those... I cant possibly put anything else in my stomach.
