Subject: This is what is making the difference

I have noticed that i have hit a run of consistency in losing that I have not had in like a year. I am averaging about a lb a week...some weeks a lb and a half, some weeks a 1/2, most a lb. This is a really really big deal for me since I have had very inconsistent and sometimes non-existant progress for many months at a time between losses. The thing that really seems to be making the difference and the only major thing I am doing differently is that I have added strength training. I am doing a total body workout with hand-weights 3 days a week....you know lunges and squats with the weights in your hands for lower body and all the arm and chest stuff for the upper body. Then I do crunches and butt lifts/squeezes lying on the floor. I am not really doing any aerobics in recent months...some ballet and stretches at home...but no walks, treadmill, dancercize or such. I am thinking that I need to do some of that in order to really get at that lingering deep belly fat. But for now it seems really reall difficult just to get these excercises in 3 days a week. Every time I do , I am like, " Oh wow, I got them all in today!"

The incredible news is that I have made it into the 120's...by a mere 1/2 a lb....129+1/2...LOL!...but I have to tell you I have not seen the 120's over 15 years. I am just flabergasted. I don't know if I truly believed I would ever get this far. I am thinking my goal is probably going to land between 115 and 120 depending on my muscle-tone and how I feel. I would rather be fit and toned than just rely on the numbers on the scale. So that brings my total loss to date to 83 + 1/2 lbs.

If ya'all haven't added stuff with hand weights I highly recommend it!

love and "lighter",
Dreemy
