The way i was eating before was geared to not having much in the way of any refined carbs or sugars.....very little. And when I started letting myself have more of those and just counting calories (even though the overall menu was healthy and balanced) I evidently tripped my insulin wire!! I have been having a horrific time with cravings and binging out of control for the past 2 days. I need to get back to only fruits, veggies, whole grains, and lean proteins for a bit and get back in control. This is awful. I was like a ravenous pig....everything was calling me!!!!!! I haven't felt this this kind of extreme out of control cravings since I started this whole thing back in the summer. Soooo.......

if anyone is doing a weight watchers type of plan of any sort and having trouble with cravings and falling off one's diet, I strongly suggest you cut out sugar and refined carbs immediately. Even the high-fat stuff like the bacon wasn't working even in moderation. It just made me want to eat and eat. I went back to my puffed unsweetened kashi and fruit this morning and didn't need anything else for hours after that. If I am going to try the high/low days again I am going to have to stick with a very complex carb...no refined stuff....no high fat stuff.....I just can't handle it it would seem. Boy did it set me into a downward spiral! What a bummer.
