Hi everyone! It's been awhile! I am home from my first year away from college, and I'm so excited to be home. Don't get me wrong, it has been awesome, but it's so refreshing to be at home with my family and my puppies and not have to worry so much about schoolwork!

HOWEVER, I have gained since I've been away at school and I feel absolutely wretched. Especially during finals week and also all throughout the year having roomies that don't eat so well. They aren't as likely to be supportive of my "weird" food habits (yes, that was said a few times!) My goal at this point is to take off about 25 lbs over the summer. I know I can do it, I've done it before. I am just so darn uncomfortable. It's so much easier to try and lose weight at home, where I have the treadmill available to me as well as my mom, who never keeps "junk food" in the house.

THe first thing I've been consumed with doing is getting all of the sugar out of my system. I know myself, and when I have sugar in my system, I get absolutely unreal cravings for it. Once it's out, I don't really care about it anymore. I can have a little something and be completely satisfied. So I've been drinking lots and lots of water, as well as starting out each morning with a cup or two of detox tea. (This one is vanilla flavored with milk thistle...I tried one while at school and it tasted absolutely horrible...like really strong black licorice...not my thing!) Additionally, I've been trying to do 4-5 mornings a week on treadmill (before I've eaten anything...not sure if this is a good idea or a bad one?) and this evening mom and I are taking a yoga class.

So...I feel better already. I'm looking forward to taking this weight off. But it would be super awesome if we could all post here again...the support makes so much of a difference!!
