I thought I would do like a getting to know you post with some other stuff.

I'm a big B/A Shipper.

My real name is Jade, i'm not imaginative like other people and it's easy to spell:-)

I spend most of my time reading and writing fanfiction. The rest is on my own website. I have no life.

I come from Essex in England.

Here's a joke for you...

Driving to the office this morning on the M1, I looked over to my right and there was a woman in a brand new BMW doing 9o miles per hour with her face up next to her rear viwe mirror putting on her eyeliner! I looked away for a couple of seconds and when I looked back she was halfway over in my lane, still working on that makeup!!!

It scared me so much, I dropped my electric shaver, which knocked the donut out of my other hand. In all the confusion of trying to straighten out the car using my knees against the steering wheel, it knocked my cell phone away from my ear which fell into the coffee between my legs, splashed and burned myself, and ruined the darn phone and DISCONNECTED AN IMPORTANT CALL!!!

I'm a Buffy shipper. I like Buffy with just about everyone on the shows. Right now I'm really into Buffy/Wes pairing.

I started with the first episode. The TV Guide description peaked me interest and the show kept me interest going.

7) Why does Buffy stand out from all the other TV programmes and make it the best for you?
They aren't afraid to try something different if it serves the story. The characters are believeable to me. Buffy is himan in that she isn't perfect and has some flaws that I can relate to.

I've watched occasionally for years, but it was only last year I got hooked and obsessed like the rest of you freak :)

Good mix os humor, drama, horror and the mystical. of Course last year had too much darkness and depression in my humble opinion.

6) When did you first start watching Buffy and why?
Because the local tv stopped rerunning Star Trek TNG (Generation). FX reruns from day one... hooked after the first week, started Dling season 6 when I discovered Buffy jumped in The Gift, and we have no UPN. Found affiliate by ep 6x12.

7) Why does Buffy stand out from all the other TV programmes and make it the best for you?

After all that work... ??? LoL. I dunno. The characters are three dimensional, and fun to watch. Twists in plotlines that, even if you're a Spoiler whore, still catch you off guard on the screen keep me on my toes. I have yet to get bored watching it.

And I have to mention... Spike keeps taking his shirt off. Not so much lately, but I'm sure he will. Hate to miss it.

I watched sporadically until it went into repeats..then I watched them all.. I hate not starting at the beginning..

I think it's definately one of the better shows. The writing is top notch usually.. the acting is good. It's usually funny.

Started watching about the end of series 2 but really got into it by series 4. Liked the sharpness of the dialogue.

Used to really appreciate the light touch displayed in the writing, the humour and the acting...now, not so sure. Hoping series 7 will return to the glory days (no pun intended) otherwise i'm just sticking with it through a sense of loyalty.

6) When did you first start watching Buffy and why?
Very first episode I saw was Becoming Part Two. I had seen an ad for Dawson's Creek and wanted to watch it, but I turned on the TV an hour early and caught Buffy. I've loved it ever since, but *God*, can you imagine how confused I was? LOL

7) Why does Buffy stand out from all the other TV programmes and make it the best for you?
Various reasons. I love the characters, even when I don't (I was very anti-Willow through seasons four and five), the humor is usually very funny, the writing is gripping, and Joss pulls off unusual plot devices exceedingly well (can anyone say "Hush" and "Once More, With Feeling"?). Plus, after six years, I feel like I grew up with the show, in a way. It's hard to abandon it now, even after it's myriad changes.

Okay, so one thing this little survey didn't ask and you probably all would have been better off knowing *before*hand, is that I tend to be very long-winded... So I'll go now. :)

The writing...Joss is a genius...for seven years he has consistently given us a show that is innovative and daring. The writing has made these characters come to life( not that the actors aren't skilled at doing this also, but it starts with the writing) in such a way that we genuinely care for them and feel as though they are *our* friends.

I watched it occasionaly during seasons 1 and 2...I got into it slowly...I became addicted with the season 4 when i could watch BTVS in its original language (French here!) thanks to the cablevision. I haven't missed one episode since the beginnng of season 5, and since last year i've been downloading episodes. I am a Very ill person now!

7) Why does Buffy stand out from all the other TV programmes and make it the best for you?

The writing,above all...and the actors (James first, but also ASH and AH...and the others! I love them all!), the humour. BTVS writers have often taken risks, and i like that. "Hush", "Restless" or "OMWF" are simply jewels for me. There is a lot of creativity in BTVS and the intelligence of the writing keeps amazing me. And last but not least, there is this great character named Spike!
