The characters didn't ring true, even though it was based on an actual episode. It just wasn't Willow and Xander.

Also it bashed too many of the other ships for my liking. So sorry it gets a 3 out of 10.

Stormy Night: Based on well developed characters. Although I think allot of the story was out of
each characters... um, character, it made sense in the story. I assume it's been
done before, again have few to compare it too, but assuming not all on a stormy night, more than
likely it's original. Has a back story. Well written. Moves easily. Got confused near the end. Not
absolutely sure what Xander and Willow did, although I assumed sex.

Overall score: Very good / 82

I didn't recognize Xander and Willow!

And i also agree with Kaylorin about the confusion at the end (but why not, it would be a good idea to let the reader wonder if they really dit it!).

So i am disappointed, X/W deserves better!

The story was nice and the writing good. Xander and Willow were fairly close to character, except: I just don't see that ever happening back then. If there had been no tara after Oz left and Willow and Xander spent a lot of time together, possibly. But with him just breaking up with cordy and her still dating Oz and a virgin at that time, It didn't strike me as that realistic.

The characters have no substance. I don't recognize them.

The plot was rather trite. An upset Xander sees Willow in a state of undress - by candlelight, no less - and suddenly realizes what he has been missing. The sex was confusing. It is possible to write wonderful sex scenes with a minumum of words and no mention of nc-17 rated body parts, but this one just left me going "huh?"

The occasional switches over to Xander's POV in a mostly Willow's POV story are rather disconcerting, and while I may not be the best with grammar, this story left me longing for my red pencil to correct all the misplaced commas.

Not only did the story not keep my interest, it never even captured it.

There's nothing really bad about this story, but there isn't anything good about it either. It lacks zing. I give it 50/100.

I loved the way it started, but it very soon became quite wrong. The characters were off, but I could put up with that because of the way it was written. I think it was wrong because of the set up. This could happen in say season 5 (were Tara and Anya not around), season 7 moreso considering the lack of partner, but considering the way they were feeling in season 3 it wasn't right.

I have to be honest and say that I didn't even finish this story, so maybe my rating shouldn't count. I was thrown off by the poor characterizations. I practically didn't recognize them.

i guess i am totally different because i did like this one. it was sweet and endearing for a little short, mini-fic. ok i suppose it was a bit of fantasy nothing that would really happen on the show and the dialouge didn't exactly pop but i did love the premise and the romance of the story. the timing was a bit off, that could easily be revised if the author so chose. the starting of the story is the best and the end shifts a bit away from the beginning theme, but other than some revisions i think it is a cute, quick moving, romance.
