Agreeing basically with the two above posters.I found the "rewrite the season" jarring because I had such a clear memory of the events of the show. Using canon as springboard is great, or filling in gaps, but totally parallel in an entirely non canon, and I have to say lacking in a great deal of subtext, ship, is a big challenge that this writer does not manage to pull off IMO.
Rating 60. I also struggled with it.
