With one last forlorned look at Gwen and the now departed group of teenagers, Kara launched herself into the air. She circled once or twice and then was gone.

With the quickness of her bird side and the silence of her elven side the young winged elf arrived next to Wes. Her blue-black gaze meeting his. Then she shook her head. "I tried to warn them Wes. I really did. But no one would listen to me."

She glanced back to where the groups were moving into the mountains. "I didn't bother with the Cheysuli warrior. I know he will not listen. Cheysuli are single minded when it comes to their talmora. He will die before he will abandon his strange clan. His lir said as much already."

She shifted he gaze to the teens now far into the mountain pass. "As for the rest... Who can say?"
