Kalea abruptly ceased speaking to her sister and the wolf as another link touched her mind, a presence she knew as well as that of her sister. This was a person she had been communicating with for as long as she could remember, and although they had never met Kaleadora felt she knew this Jellicle as well as one from her own Tribe... But no one, not even Nashota, knew of Kalea's correspondence with this Jellicle. It was her secret friend, the one thing in her life that she could keep completely to herself. This was Angelina.

::Not now, Angie!:: Kalea said urgently, careful to keep the mindlink hidden from Nashota and Rio. ::Nashy and I are speaking with a Cheysuli lir! A real one! I'll tell you about it later, but I've gotta concentrate...::

::Alright!:: the voice replied brightly, with perhaps a trace of wistfullness. ::Be careful, Kalea!:: The link faded.

Kaleadora focused her eyes again to find both Rio and Nashota staring at her very strangely. She blushed fiercely and ducked her head, muttering. ::Well... I... Sorry. I spaced out for a minute. What were you saying?:: She looked at Rio ly, heart pounding.
