Monet nodded thoughtfully. He had never head of a Cheysuli lad fighting his lir bond before. It was something that was simply unheard of. Even if the boy did not know that he was a Cheysuli he should still feel the emptyness that comes with lirlessness.

Great golden eyes blinked slowly as he helped the injured female along. His mind wandering again. ::Who am I to judge the boy? Alexis and myself are outcasts even among the Cheysuli.:: He turned his gaze to Gwen and sighed. ::For one she does not look Cheysuli. A Cheysuli is dark skinned, yellow eyed, dark hair. My sweet liren is fair and blonde with pretty blue eyes.::

He stopped briefly at the rivers edge. He could sense Gabriel and Rio and two others futher down the river and it made him pause. Carefully he looked to Gwen again. ::Also... Female Cheysuli do not take lirs. They do not posess the magic. Their warriors look after them. First their jehans and rujhos when they are young and later it is their cheysuls and sons::

He smiled warmly. ::Do you see now? Alexis is feared by her own kind. She is too head strong to be sure. But what warrior wants a cheysula who becomes a tiger at will? She scares men even though she is no bigger than a blade of grass.::
