Subject: Sammy flies again....well almost

Like many people often do, I decided to clean my gutters today. Now most people need a modest ladder to undertake such a task. But old Sammy here needs a 28 foot extension ladder on which I must stand near the top runner and lean and reach as far as I can in order to remove the last bit of leaf crustation glued into the further most corner of the rainwater directing trough.

Well today as I was leaning and contorting to grab the last bit on the corner the ladder slid in the opposite direction. Immediately I had a "PeterPan" flashback (Wendy I can fly!) of my last "off the house" flight, and I instinctively grabbed the gutter for all I was worth. I clamped down so hard that I cut my hand across the center, but thankfully...I did not fall.

I slowly climbed down and then sat down at our picnic table an shook like a dog shitin' a peach pit for a good 15 minutes. After I composed myself I did what I should have done in the first place. I sent our gardener Joe up and stayed on the ground and held the ladder for him.

Some day I learn, I'll get it through this thick dumb Swede of a skull of mine that I don't do good in high places.

Just a quick Sammy story so you have something to read.
