As a result I could barely get out of bed. You bet I can predict the weather with my bones. Strange thing is that snow doesn't bother me, only rain and high humidity. But when it really cold....nothing.

I wish I could get Michel to help with the shoveling but he's down in West End Long Branch and wouldn't be able to get here in the snow. He drives a little Miattta (sp?) which won't go through a frost let alone real shovelin' snow. We have my old (4wd) pick up truck (which I had given him) which is just parked and never used, maybe I'll have a snow plow put on it?

Being a big dumb Swede, winter sports have always been ingrained into me. When I was a boy we always had family ski trips in the winter, Mom loved to ski and transferred that onto all us little Sammys'. I don't ever remember not having skis whan I was young. I had to stop downhill skiing for some years because of my knee (which I broke skiing) and was warned about it from the Dr. The a year or two ago I started again and the knee seems pretty good, I wear a special brace that strengthens in and prevents twisting. So now I'm doing it again, but not as intense as I once did (no more double diamond runs).

I suggest you try it. Smuggler's Notch Resort in Vermont has a wonderful family program where they will teach you, Gumdrop and Mapguy together. There's nothing like being out on the mountain in winter.

Mapguy I'm sure will be pleased to know your loaning him and his snowblower out. I'm sure he'll just love it when he has to drive across the state in snow with that thing hanging out of the car to help some slob he's never met. heh heh heh

I too amd wishing for a heavy snow winter.
