Subject: Now it's getting cold
In reply to: Summertime 's message, "Hiya Tom...good to see you again." on 15:47:01 11/14/04 Sun

We had ice on the swimming pool cover this morning and even a few flurries Saturday am! Thanks for the reminder Tom, I still had the hose connected to the house out back. That corrected I've embraced this cold snap. I put on my warmest jacket and headed out for an evening walk. I love the smell of the burning fireplaces in the crisp winter air. I've got to try bicycling some, but I'll have to load it into the car and bring it somewhere that's a bit safer to ride. You can't go very far around here without putting yourself in jeopardy. Actually what we need is a quick 6 inch snowfall so I can xcountry ski. Yea...that's the ticket!

Well I took my youngest Kathryn to the community Halloween Parade. Too cute is an eight year old Frankenstein. I wore a black suit and a Nixon mask and walked along the sidelines. Being around all those kids of course has it's downside. I seem to have caught some sort of bug from the little disease riddled snot factories and wound up sportin' a nice 102+ temp. (I'm better now) How do teachers survive being around those little carriers? Everytime I get near a crowd of children I wind up sick. Adults...no problems, but bring me even near an elementary school and I'm out for the count.

What's everybody doing for the next holiday....THANKSGIVING!!

Mmmmmmm....I can't wait. I believe the plan
is for us is to invade my sister's home this year. With the wild pack of canrivores that is the Sammy family, it usually requires three main items, a turkey (of couse it's tradition), a ham, and sometimes a roast beef. There's always at least two because we have several non-foul eating individuals amongst us. It's good when Mrs Sammy doesn't have to cook on Thankgiving, we host Christmas (tradition) and the two holidays so close together is a bit much. So we like to go elsewhere on Turkeyday and loaf upon their sofa with our bellies extended and pie on our ties.

I'm getting fatter just thinking of it.
