Subject: I've had remoulade in restaurants here, but I think it's best in its own element, which is the South.

I had some outstanding remoulade in N'Awlins. I think they invented it (seriously).

Pork roll and Taylor ham are pretty much the same thing, but they are different than Canadian bacon. I think the former are more processed and spicy than the latter, which is more like a regular slice of ham -- just smaller. One of my verrrrry favorite sandwiches is pork roll, egg and cheese on a good, fresh Kaiser roll. With a ton of ketchup. Mmmmmmm...makes me long for the days when I didn't have to care what I ate!

Hey, that chocolate babka sounds grate! Did it have raisins in it, or icing? But I wouldn't call being hungry again at 10:34 a.m. "disgraceful." I'd call it "normal." I eat cereal for breakfast and bring my coffee to work. I eat some fruit and maybe a Weight Watchers snack bar later in the morning. I pretty much graze all day -- it's what works for me and the diet.

My weekend was good. Mapguy took Gumdrop to a Knicks game yesterday (Sunday), so I had the afternoon "off." I ran errands and did some shopping, but came up with nada. Sometimes I hate clothes shopping! It seems like women our age have two choices when it comes to buying clothes: looking like a young tart or an old fart. I went to three stores and couldn't find anything I really liked.

What did you do this weekend?
