Subject: The most wonderful time of the year!

When the kids go back to school. Heh heh heh! They all start right after Labor day. Mrs Sammy's started the "new school clothes" shopping spree. This year she's determined to wear the numbers off the Visa card.

We had Mom's birthday party yesterday, and it was wonderful. My brother-in-law brought his kiyaks and the kids took turns going down the river in them (a few of the adults did too). The food was grand, as my other Brother-in-law and his mom (former chef) did most of the cooking, so Mrs Sammy and I didn't have to do much but enjoy ourselves. Sausage w/peppers, burgers & dogs, corn on the cob, and thye most delicious grilled swordfish! I was so stuffed I felt like a Sumo wrestler or a Macy's parade balloon. Mom was smiling like the Cheshire Cat all day, which of course was contagious so we were all looking pretty dumb with big goofy grins on.

There ain't alot of weather days like we had last weekend, boy it sure was nice. I think it was payback for raining out our Memorial Day Hootenanny this year.
