It said that the area from the Bay Head Yacht club to the Mantoloking bridge will be a no wake zone. I don't mind that because it's a narrow channel through there and has a very tight turn, lots of accidents and swampings. (good fishing and crabbing along there too)

On the other hand my son loves to go water skiing on the Metedakonk(sp?) River and now that too will be no wake. He'll have to find another location. Maybe over near where RJ's folks are from.

My old boat was a big lumbering mass and didn't go fast, my little replacement run-a-bout is fast but has been stolen from me by my son and I'm not too sure I'll ever get to use it again. I was telling Lady B that when I was his age I had a boat too and now I see so much of myself in him it's scarey. He talks about hanging out in all the same places I once did. Yikes!

If it weren't for my arthritis I would have bought a nice sailboat, but they are a pain in the ass to sail in Barnegat Bay due to the depth. If you have anything of a keel your screwed if the wind changes. If it weren't for the channel, you could walk across Barnegat Bay it's so shallow. So I'd probably stay out in the ocean along there anyway.

Darn....Now you have me jonesin' for the water!
