The theory is not only dumb, its insultingly dumb. It actually makes me angry just to hear someone talk about it. The WHOLE storyline up to this point will be made completely devoid of any real meaning if the brothers decided to take this path. The first two movies would make absolutely NO sense. Just look at the story line so far.

Neo escapes the matrix.
Neo finds himself and gains super powers.
Sentinils are on a collision course with Zion.
Sentinils are trying to destroy zion.
Morpheous wants to save zion.
Neo finds out zion is a holding ground for deliquint people.

If zion turned out to be a matrix, all of this would mean nothing.

PLEASE STOP WITH THE MATRIX INSIDE OF A MATRIX CRAP!!! No offense intended.
