Subject: Being manipulated, or Determinism?
In reply to: neonate 's message, "response to 'determinism and the matrix' and 'sidenotes'" on 22:48:07 06/09/03 Mon

Neo seems to be on a predetermined path, but the machines have had, what I think most would agree as, a thousand or more years to study human behavior. They may be manipulating everyone and predicting to a high degree of accuracy what each of their responses will be. It may all be a great big machine sting operation, and Paul Newman plays the Architect. All that to sell salad dressing.
