Neo's choice when he meets the Architect..
The prophecy said that once The One reaches the source the
war will be over...This is true...
The architect was not the source...this is also true
The One never reaches the Source... This is true
The architect was there because of 1 reason...

There was no choice, once reaching the source that would have been the end of the war but due to the system..
the choice had to be made to stop The One entering the source...
this was the only reason the architect was placed there..
His words were to confuse Neo into believing that the 2 door
hypothesis was his choice. instead it was planted to stop him entering the source...
If The one entered the source the matrix would have shutdown due to the program player (the One)
ending the program(gameover)
In the event of the program closing the humans attached to the system would die killing the machines who's abundant power source was the humans...
Leaving zion safe...
if the program was to end and The One would have entered the source then Neo would have been dead....
