I find it interesting that no one has considered that the architect could be lying. He may have wanted Neo to believe it so he would choose to select the 25 from Zion and allowthe matrix to be destroyed etc. Why he would want that i don't know but ah well..
Also Neo can kill the setinals in the real world because he is so powerful in the matrix that he is gaining power outside the matrix. He is the one out of the 6 ones there have been so to speak. If he wasn't then the whole film is a tad pointless.
