here are my thoughts. yes i know there is a waiver draft in the NHL and for realism than yeah i can see something of the sort in the league for the sake of realism. however, when deciding this you must take into account the fact that for the NHL waiver draft there are 30 teams protecting 18 skaters and 2 goalies each which means the players that are left available are barely good enough to be on farm teams in this league. the propsal of only protecting 9 forwrds, 5 defencemen and 2goalies ensures that guys like Zednik and others in the league would be available for pick up in the waiver draft when in actuality in a 30 team league they are 1st line players and are only on the 4th line as this is a 16 team league. I vote against the waiver draft
