Hello :) I'm having trouble finding a definition...

A long time ago I read that the word "wesh" meant 'forest' in Gaelic . The word has stuck with me but now when I search for the definition I can find no meaning for it. I do find an English meaning for it which is 'washed' but that is not what I'm looking for. I've been planning to use "wesh" in the name for a project I'm working on and I just wanted to make sure it is correct. Anyone have any idea? Thank you for looking at my post :)
