I've started reading the teach yourself Irish Gaelic lessons but I'm confused with the pronounciation guides. Are the English guide words pronounced using British English, American English, Australian English or what? I am posting with an Irish Lass, From Limerick, and now living in the Scottish Highlands. But she speaks both forms of Gaeilge. Although we post to each other in English, She usually throws in afew lines of Gaeilge. I do my best, with my Dictionary, But either can't find alot of the words, or don't understand the "meaning" (???). Can anyone help in translating this:

I live in the US and I've never actually heard anyone say the phrase;
"Tiocfaidh ar lá"
I know it means "tommorow is ours" or "our time will come".
My best guess for the pronunciation is either;
"cheek-fay er law"
or
"cheek-faw er law"

First, forgive me if I've double posted. Had a little trouble.
Can someone please help me translate "Insipid Bread" into Gaelic. I bake bread and a book I was reading referred to commercial white bread as being insipid. I thought it would be amusing to name my white bread "Insipid Bread" (It really is good bread, but I just think it would be funny), but in Irish it would sound exotic and gourmet.

Ok, so here's my problem. My mom and I do some geneology, and she wanted to help me familiarize myself with a geneology program. I picked a celtic mythological family to work with. In fact, the same one i've been reading of for a while now. The problem is, I found out where someone died, and the chart requires me to say whether its a city, state, county, etc. Now from what I've been reading, Castlenock is an old ruin of a castle near Dublin. But I can't find it on an atlas. Does Castleknock even still exist? Was it a city? Or just a castle? I'm so frustrated! I can't find any information! Some one please help me if you can. Thanks a lot.

A long time ago I read that the word "wesh" meant 'forest' in Gaelic . The word has stuck with me but now when I search for the definition I can find no meaning for it. I do find an English meaning for it which is 'washed' but that is not what I'm looking for. I am a 39 year old american woman who happens to be very proud of her irish heritage so much so that since may I've been studying the Irish language. At present I am learning of all things the lords prayer .ahhhhhhhhhhhh
