The short answer is NO. 'Shut th door'follows the same pattern ie Dún an doras (doon un dur-ass). However, sometimes if you translate directly from English to Irish you get what is called Béarlachas.You would get the same if translating English into French or any other language.
An example: If I wanted to say 'I am well' in Gaeilge, I wouldn't say Tá mé go maith. I would say Tá mé air mbun na muice (I am on the pig's back) This is a very involved subject and will come to you with practice.
