Before taking these intelligence tests, I felt the way that most others do. Intelligence tests can be beneficial as an additional tool for assessment purposes, but should not be relied upon as a complete diagnostic tool. There are so many different types of "intelligent" people, but not all would score high on an intelligence test. Since today is father's day, take for example my father. I don't think he would score above average on an intelligence test, but I believe my father to know pretty much anything. Some people may not be academically intelligent, but can be just as intelligent in their own aspect.

After taking the tests, I still feel the same way. While taking the classical test, I felt like I was taking the GRE again and it made me quite frustrated. I don't know how it could completely measure accurate intelligence because I bet a few people, including myself, put "I don't know" for many of the questions and still received a high score. My score was, however, what I expected it to be. The cultural test was just as frustrating to me as I strongly dislike solving puzzles like that. I honestly almost gave up. My score on that was what I expected also. NOT above average.
The last test, the emotional test, was much easier for me. I was not surprised at all with my score as I felt the description fit me almost perfectly. I do feel, though, that this test could be less accurate than even the other two as people can pick answers that they want to describe them. Overall, these tests can be fun to take to get an idea of intelligence, but there are so many other factors that make up intelligence that one, or even all, should not be relied upon as the determining factor when measuring intelligence.
