Um, it can't be 'I hate you'. Not because it would be off-topic or pointless- both of which it would be, mind you- but because of the way the Japanese language works. 'To love' is a verb, and takes a different particle as the object marker than 'to hate', which is a noun-like adjective.
The sentence 'I hate you' (in it's simplest form, at least) would have been 'boku wa kimi ga kirai da'. The sentence 'I love you' would have been 'boku wa kimi o aishiteiru/aisuru'.And in the manga, he very clearly says 'boku wa... kimi o...'. 'O' not 'ga'. So whatever he says there has to be a verb, not an adjective, so it cannot be 'I hate you'.
