In Apple Valley students can chose from dorms, private housing or greek life. In order to move into a greek house-the student must be a rising junior. All freshmen are required to stay in dorms and sophomores+ are able to move into private housing. We do this so that the freshmen are adequately aquainted with the university, thier peers, professors and culture.

In the dorms, all freshmen have double rooms and are assigned a roommate-perferably a sim from the neighborhood-if not, then a roommate of the same sex. After freshman year, they are free to move into any single rooms (if available) or apply to become a RA (juniors and up, earn an additional $500 a semester and stay in a suite with kitchenette).

Hope that helps
