I'm in a situation that I think is unfair. I'd like to see someone's input.

I and my brother are inheriting our wealthy parents some day. Our parents will be around for a while yet so we will need to wait for the final calculations.

When I returned from University, I moved back in with mother and father. I assisted my father with his store even as a teenager. My brother isn't interested in business. It's a deal that I will take over the store, but because of my father's perks he want to me the owner as long as he can. He passes on those perks to me gradually, but it takes a long time. So, the situation is that every day I work in the store, and now that I am an adult I find myself doing most of the work there and my father assisting me. Roles turned around.

This way I spend my days to add about §5000 to my father's fortune every day. Half of it my brother will get because he will inherited half of our parents' belongings. I think this is very unfair on my part, and I am afraid it will cause a split between me and my brother. I wish I could convince my father that I want to take over the store right away even if it will mean much less income (due to wholesale discount).

Could someone please give me an advice or share from a similar experience, if any?

NN
