Same old, same old. I'm spending too much time with the committee (which has been bothering him substantially more since he learned that there aren't just women in attendance), I'm not keeping house, I'm not cooking, I'm not, oh, I do not know, jumping up and down on one foot while simultaneously making pancakes and vacuuming the carpet. I think the thing that bothers him most though is that now that I have this to take up my time, I have just begun ignoring him. I keep the house in decent condition and make sure there's food in the fridge, and that's it. No bending over backwards for his mother's weekly visits, no waiting up for him at night, no... “wifely duties”, if you catch my drift... he is currently the furtherest thing down on my to-do list, and it bothers him to no end.

Oh, well, probably that and the fact that I went dancing without him tonight. Not that he ever goes with me anyway, but I usually just buckle and agree to stick around the house when he says he has to work, or he doesn't feel like going out. Not this time though - I did not even invite him! I didn't even tell him I was going. I just left, and for once, I was the last one home, leaving him waiting up for me. This is going to sound horrible, but you know, I actually had this (altogether wicked) feeling of amusement when he started yelling at me about getting home at a reasonable hour. I couldn't hide my smirk!

That is so sweet! I am sure he's absolutely precious. ^.^ I ran into his foster mother, the other day – she was very sad when she had to give him up, but she was thrilled when I told her about how well he was fitting into your family.
