I need this data to complete a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Appeal as soon as posible. I was 31st Secuirty Police (K-9) and my dogs name was Rin. I need your help.

Could you please forward any data you may get as a response to your message. I was there April 69 to April 70 and seem to recall alerts and mortar or rocket attacks on at two occasions. No records I know of an I don't know where to look.

Jim, I wouldn't have known you probably too well. I transferred in from DaNang in Jan 70, I was assigned K9 Chief.
As for Ernest, I left in Sept 70, we had 2 mortar attacks from Jan to Sept 70, most landed in the barracks area, and since most of us were on post, it wasn't that close to us. We didn't get anything like the Army guys did next door to us.

I know for a fact that our SECOND attack came at about 0130/0330 hrs. on 5 July 70. I had the night off with one other handler and we were drunk in the hootch! The first attack was sometime in April. I had the "Graveyard" post that evening, in between the bomb storage area and the fuel dump. I had arrived at Tuy Hoa around the 12-15 th. of March. Both attacks were mortar attacks. The July one killed our vets jeep, which was parked outside his hootch.
I remember you both. Glad to hear about you. Hope you both are doing better. I have my issues, too.

I got a letter from a friend two days after I left, and he told me that the baseball field was hit. I left in May4th,197o. I was there from May4th of 69 to May 4th of 70. Hope this helps.

OK gents. I will have to change my first note to the first attack being on 8 May 70. The second one was after everyone on the perimiter celebrated the 4 th of July by lighting the base with slap flares. The attack came AFTER midnight.

Was there 69-70 also in the 309th. One mortar hit the baseball feild. West of our hoot.

Was there 69-70 309th. Hit was west of our barracks. Hoot one hit. All I know about it. My brother don't believe me. He was stationed there with me in same squad. He left before it happened.

>I remember the attack on Tuy Hoa. I had only been in country a few months. I recall the attack on 4 July 1970 at around 01:00 to 02:00 hours. Times may be off a little because I had a few at the club before going home. That attack sobered me up quick. Good luck.

I need to know the dates and times of the attacks on Tuy Hoa in 1970. I believe there was one attack on or about 4 July 1970 and as I was trying to get into the moving 21/2 ton I fell and injured my head. all I am looking for are the dates
