I remember two different attacks. One was 8 May 1970 & 4 July 1970.

OK gents. I will have to change my first note to the first attack being on 8 May 70. The second one was after everyone on the perimiter celebrated the 4 th of July by lighting the base with slap flares. The attack came AFTER midnight.
