Dear Dr Wizard and all celebrating Moon Cake Festival...

I am sharing this poem written by another Doctor friend of mine (JB Lim) with you all out there...

A Poem for Moon-cake Festival
A Mid-Autumn Dream

Think of an ancient village
On a lonely night
In bygone days of early China

Nestled in a valley among hills
As Mother Nature has it
A lonely river through the village
Avenue with weeping willow tress
Running crystal clear waters in moonlight

Meandering its course down
The hills and valleys below
In moonlight and in tranquility
On a mid autumn night

Conjure up the bright Full Moon above
On a mid autumn night
Her cool radiance shines
Over mountains and valleys

The village and placid streams
In the stillness of the night
On a breezy mid autumn night
Crystal clear, bright, solitary her light
Dreamy and romantic

Small children gazing at the Moon
Red lanterns, moon cakes they carry
Through the village in solitude
Come, Mid-Autumn Moon Festival
Enchanting and captivating

How placid and tranquil life would be
Prescribed in Chinese traditions
Ordained by ancient customs and cultures
This vision I cherish
In dreams by night
A thousand years be a night
Blissful and enthralling

In quietude I surmise
Come autumn be my bride
On a mid-autumn night
Be betrothed in romance

A Moon a-shining in glory
The moon cake awaiting
I yearn to gaze and eat
By a river in moonlight
In an ancient village

Pretty lanterns and willow trees
Boulevard the waters
Romantic and enchanting

At last, vision is but a vapor
That vanishes by the break of the day

Yet, this dream, my hope
My desire, my wish
A Joyful Moon Cake Festival
Before moonset for another day

This, is my earnest wish for you
