Taiping Silk, Dr, Captain, et al,

Ah, before we forget, happy 64th birthday Captain in a few day's time. We are all fortunate to have lived this long -- not to be taken for granted. I know from our class or class year, few already gone to the big sky, bless their souls. Also some of us are happily working and that's good I reckon, to be able to keep our minds employed.

Taiping Silk from Taiping (or Ipoh or North where the best Sar Hor Fun comes from, the best peanuts and the best rain)I miss the calling to the Globe of London, so every year, I keep remembering the Ides of March and the happy years in HSK, ah many years ago now. Those were the careful years where we dared to cycle around town and anywhere. Actually that's not true. I always feel apprehensive going to Coconut Under, as I was told there were many gangsters. Funny thing was, I never actually come across one.

Dr. I guess since my parent's passing, I have less reasons for visiting Klang. Too many memories and no where to call home, if you know what I mean. Sure, I can stay in a hotel, but that's not home, and when I go pass my childhood home outside HSK, what will I do? I bound to feel sad. Such is life. Don't get me wrong -- I miss Klang a great deal, but it's the Klang of 50 years ago, and it's the people I miss as well. As to living in the 3rd world, I reckon you have described the conditions Ray, Peng2, myself and others lived in. But I guess home is where you call "home".

Captain, please pass our regards to ET. We missed his good humour. Or did we offend him? Life is too short to be offended, especially by someone whom we have known since childhood.

Ah, life.

Regards, LG
