Hi Glenn,

I will try to check with the group that is preserving all the stuff about Tech, if I can find a telephone number, and see what's what in this situation.

I, like you, but only after all these years and seeing it in print, was surprised that Boyd was selected. On the other hand, I think he was a bright student and very appreciative of going to Tech. I never really knew him, and can't remember if he and I were in a class together.

For whatever obscure reason, I was asked to mentor Boyd and help him to write and present the graduation address.
It was gut wrenching when he wrote "To my best friend" in my Tech yearbook. I contacted his widow when I learned of his passing, and she said Boyd was gregarious and well liked with many friends in later life... that helped a lot.
