If you go back and read some of my post, you will realize I am going through the same exact thing. It has only been over 3 months for my grandbaby's mom to not show her face, but not the first time she has left for weeks at a time, and the baby is only 15 months old. I, like you, keep holding on hoping she will turn out to be the kind of mother I know and saw the first 6 months of baby's life she can be, but it isnt gonna happen. I found out new lies just yesterday, she is in legal trouble. I finally talked to a lawyer just on phone, and told him I wanted some type of guardianship papers so she could not just walk in and take her away, he said "NOPE, YOU WANT CUSTODY", he explained how many cases our county has just like this, and guardianship isnt much more than like signing a release for your child to go on a school trip. So, I will probably do it, I dont want to do it to hurt my daughter (20 w/15 mo old) but I have to protect this baby,,,she doesnt even have a daddy in the picture,,,probably a blessing from God on that one being he is going to do about 5 yrs in prison.
