Tammy:
Here is the name of that book you need to get to understand some things about your daughter and what is going on in her mind:

Crystal Meth: They Call It Ice
Author: Dr. Mary Holly
ISBN: 193314808X

This is a superbly written book that makes things easy to understand. It is written by a Doctor who had a brother who lost his life due to methamphetamine addiction.

As far as your daughter is concerned, please do not let her get that baby back without getting the help she needs. thirty days in a treatment center will not do the trick. She needs long term treatment and follow up counseling and all the help that she can get if she is going to live through this. I hesitate to write this, but sadly it is true---------> you do not see any old meth addicts, they either get clean or they die. This is a very deadly drug. I am sure there are some older people out there who do meth that would refute that statement, but there are a few exceptions to every rule. Please focus on your grand-daughter and keep her safe. If you want to save your daughter, again I stress that you must get her into a treatment program. I hate to say this too but jail is better than death. Her relationship sounds like legal problems and her boyfriend is no good for her. Keep your faith and put your trust in God.
