Everyones addiction is different, yes some people would need something for depression,as an addict goes through many emotions and can get very depressed recovery is a long and hard road I also think addicts are still looking for that go fast feeling and try to get that from drinks such as red bull. For me it was a nine month drug class, support groups and support from my family, I went through a stint of depression but took nothing for that my cma meeting was my drug. after 5 years of recovery I still have my down days but I dont have the desire to use.
