My cousin was using meth for a long time and I told you guys about me taking him to the Church's Mens Home for recovery last November. Well he didn't stick it out, but he did stay clean. He left because his then user girlfriend was pregnant and he wanted to make sure she didn't use while pregnant with his baby. Back then it all sounded like a story just to get out of the Mens Home. Well he took his little family and moved to another state, worked his butt off to make sure they got off drugs and the baby is now maybe 2 months old or more, very healthy. They are both clean and different. Their minds seem pretty normal. He came back here to turn himself in and face old consequences. Well he has done his time and he started work the day after he got out making great money, is getting a place for his kids and girlfriend and will move her out here soon. They are doing wonderful and it's almost been a year that they are clean. It takes time for the fog to clear but once it does, great things can happen. He was really confused in the beginning, trying to please everyone but he decided for his life and made a great decision. He wasn't one to lie even when using meth, how strange I know, he always told the truth. But that is rare- we all know that. Hope this add a little ray of hope to your day.
=)Heather
PS - Spencer is still clean, I think he even may have stopped drinking. DOn't know for sure cause he is still a liar and a manipulator and I don't have much to do with him. He has kept up on his visits with his son but my son still doesn't trust him. I know this by the way he acts and the things he says. His dad is really a sick man and one day it will come out again unless he gets help. His mental state is not normal and that makes me sad.
Thanks for all your prayers.
