Hi Heather;

Did you leave w/the papers when you went to court? Does it say "ex parte hearing" on there? If it does, then he won't be there (or be made aware of the court date either), and the court clerk wasn't paying enough attention to your paperwork when she was talking to you.

As far as him and sending his papers, I agree w/your thoughts as to why he did it. He is trying to 'scare' you , in my opinion.

A phone call to the court clerk wouldn't hurt if you have the time, to put your ease at mind about the paperwork filed. But if it's an ex parte hearing, no he won't be made aware nor invited.
