Heather, THANK YOU. Your words helped me big time, and you are right. It's such a difficult position. What I believe to be going on w/my son, is that he is seeing him more now than when he was living here. So he's asking me the questions that are painful to address.

YOur question "would you choose him to marry your daughter?" OMG. THat struck me. I would not. No way would I want her to live with a relationship like this.

After my initial post, I am pretty much back to where I was before it. They aren't kidding when the say alcohol is a depressant! 2 beers and it did my emotions in!

That's how I know I am done, is that I know my heart can't take it again. My heart couldn't take it the last couple of times, but I kept on attempting. THe last one was the hardest,a nd I knew when he f'd up again and I told him to get out that that was it for us.
