Got a question. This is about Morphine. My best friend, I think is becoming addicted to morphine. He goes to the hospital daily with "headaches" and each time they give him a shot of morphine. The length of time between hospital trips is getting shorter and shorter. It was every 3-4 days, now it is everyday. I confronted him, and of course he looked at me like I was crazy. He swears that he is not going back again. But I don't beleive him. He has scripts for percocet, and other opiate based pain killers, and he keeps getting more. I can tell the change in his demeanor, when he is coming down he is vomiting and pretty hostile. When he leaves the hospital, he is laughing and everything is just wonderful. He doesn't see what he is becoming, and I don't know if I should call the hospital or just mind my business. I was told the addiction to morphine is much like that of heroin. Can anyone tell me anymore? I am really worried but at the same time I am really pissed off at him. I told him that I refuse to be friends with a morphine junkie, and I think it hurt his feelings. Why does it seem that the only people I draw to me is dependant on drugs?
