I think it is safe to say he hasn't quit. The only way you would know if he quit was if he has been clean for months and months to a year. Other than that - he quit until the next time he lights it up, snorts it or slams it. Of course he won't admit to it - why would any addict ever admit unless it is part of a manipulation. Read what I wrote in the Hepful Tips section about this sickness being passed on to the family. You cannot help him - you have to get out of the way of his learning. He has to hate the life he is living now while he has a clear mind (definitely not clear yet!) By giving him comfort and letting him see that you're worried about him, he's got you where all addicts want their friends/families/loved ones. You're not helping him by comforting him, you're hurting him more than you may realize. The 3 C's are good for this. You didnt Cause it, you can't Control it and you can't Cure it.
