How can you walk away from someone you love that is hurting? This is all new to me -he just told me Tuesday that he was using, it got out of hand, and he is quitting. No-one had any idea. He could have chosen not to tell us and continued to use. I understand the three C's -but that doesn't mean that I can't be there to ensure he's alive and to monitor if he has really quit or not right?
I don't want to appear arguementative here -I am just so full of anger and frustration and scared to death! I want to believe him b/c I have no reason not to at thispoint. I have been reading all of these posts and I see how it may get worse -but right now it is brand new and has no pattern. I understand how someone that has been through this can forsee what we will be going through -but I can't because I haven't been through any of this yet -this is 3 days old at this point. I need all of the guidance, support, and gentle understanding that I can find right now.
