Misty-
I know what it is like to be where you are now. I am sure you feel that you have put yourself so deep in a hole...you cant imagine there is a way back out.
You are so lucky to have a sister that cares so much about you. She knows your potential and she knows what kind of person you are without drugs. That is why she is trying so hard to get you back.
As bad as it seems right now, you are in better shape than 99 percent of the meth addicts out there becuase you know you need help, you have admitted your problem, and you want your old life back.
Dont worry about any negative responses on this board. No matter how destructive this drug has been on so many people's lives here....no one will treat an addict with a deep desire to get clean with any grief. All of us have all had our lives turned upside down by meth - most are the innocent victims of a loved-one that uses or used. Some of us are recovering addicts - like me. As long as you are honest with your desire to get clean and you do EVERYTHING in your power to stay away from meth - you will find a wealth of support and knowledge on this board.
If you are close to a Crystal Meth Anonymous meeting - by all means get to one immediately. If not, look for AA or NA. Although 12 step programs do not work for everyone, they are a great place to go for support and find alternate means for recovery.
The hardest part for you will be to STAY AWAY from all connections with meth and your using. Change your phone number, spend as much time as possible with your family and non-using friends and most importantly, until you get a sponsor or get yourself in a program...call your sister the minute you think about using. And keep a picture of your daughter in your pocket at all times...and every time you think about using, take the picture out and look at her smiling face and ask your self "is meth worth losing this precious life?"
It will be hard, but you can do it.
Mike
