With regard to why he would do this if he knows you will leave? They don't care...they figure they will manipulate you when that time comes. The need to do the drug far more outweighs anything, and I mean anything! Please note that what I say is with regard to my meth addicted spouse and what he's done to us, not by first hand experience of using.

Also, with regard to waiting...I've seen mine go from just acting a little strange to stealing me blind, stealing from his children, and even shooting up in front of my toddler while I was in the hospital after giving birth to our youngest, and then way, WAY gone within a week after that when I took him to court.

Taking care of yourself and your children are your top priority. The stuff can really hit the fan between now and whenever you get a job...and once you get a job, the excuse will be, I don't have time to become a single parent right now...or something to that effect.
