Subject: Creepy

I live in Derbyshire UK. Something wierd happened to me about a week ago. I was stood in the kitchen just to the side of our backdoor leaning on the table. I was just having a drink when I glanced into the hall way and at that very same moment I'm sure a dark figure, looked like a man about 6ft in height (like me) looked at me on the way through into the lounge area, I can honestly say that I thought it was my dad! But the strange thing is my dad was in the shower and my mum was putting the car into the garage...I've wondered for a while if this house had some sort of presence in it. I havent seen the dark figure since. Could these be the dark shadows that move in the corner of our eyes? It was also quite dull, the time was about 5:30pm.
