Hi Amardev

I thought I would come in here if that's ok!

I think Hindus have a sense of the divine, and think deeply about things.

You are wrong about a number of things though. I am a Gentile too by the way. It helps when you actually get to know Jesus personally and live on a daily basis with Him and ask Him to teach you. Firstly Jesus was a Rabbi Himself when He lived on earth - so it cannot be right to say all Rabbis hated Him, or tar all Rabbis with the same brush. Jesus was the Divine Word, became a Jew, and is still a Jew now! He always will be Jewish! He Himself said that He did not come to destroy the Law or the Prophets, but to fulfil them. He also said that Heaven and Earth will not pass away before every part of the Law is fulfilled, even the tiniest stroke. (Please read the New Testament again) He also said that anyone who did not obey the Law would be counted least in the Kingdom of God. As He is the Divine Word, the Law is what He Himself uttered to Moses, before He became a Jewish man. The Law is the perfect will of G-d for us, but as we are all unable to reach such a standard of perfection, Jesus came to do two things: firstly to live a perfect human life, so as to make a perfect human life over to each of us as a gift. Secondly to lift up the sin of the whole world onto Himself and to be punished for it, in our place. Then, we are free to let the Holy Spirit work the perfect human life of Jesus into our own lives. In other words: the perfection and righteousness of the Law gradually comes into force via Jesus, rather than each of us trying to do it in our own way and failing. This is why St Paul went on about Grace - not that the Law is wrong, but we are wrong if we think we can do it by ourselves. Only the Grace of G-d working through Jesus' work on the Cross is feasible for us. While on earth, Jesus did not break a single one of the Old Testament Laws. He did not always respect the human traditional additions, which although designed to be helpful, were not from the mouth of G-d.
It is impossible to understand any of the deep meaning of the New Testament, without studying the Old Testament. There is not really anything in the New Testament which is not already there in the Old Testament. But Jesus has to personally show you the meaning of the Old Testament - this is also something which we cannot do by ourselves. Let's be clear - no one understands anything about Jesus, or about His Great Work on the Cross, without deep study of the Old Testament.
Jesus was of the tribe of Judah, but Joseph, his foster-father was Joseph, also of the tribe of Judah. Both Mary and Joseph were decended from King David, who was of the tribe of Judah.
I am getting a little sick of these arguments about "who killed Jesus"! If Jesus had not died on the Cross, we would all be in Hell forever - the whole human race! He Himself planned it all carefully, before becoming incarnate! Let's realise that Jesus is AWSOME and if He decides to do something - who are we to argue? The book of Acts says that the Romans, the Jews and everyone else put Him to death, but we were instruments - His Will is inexorable. I think you should not be saying "who killed Him" but "WHY did He die for ME" - it's more relevant.
If you have recently accepted Jesus as your G-d, you and your family have a wonderful future! He has been faithful to me for 38 years! He has forgiven and restored me when I have blown it. To know Him is to love Him - you are more precious to Him than you can ever imagine - and your love for Him is something very dear to Him. Have you been to Israel yet? I can give you the contact details of an Israeli Guide if you would like to go?
Shalom
Vivian
